二条城（Nijō-jō Castle / Nijo Castle，京都）是联合国教科文组织世界文化遗产，建成于1626年，曾是德川幕府将军在京都的官邸，是江户时代宫殿建筑的巅峰之作。二之丸御殿内那闻名遐迩的"莺声地板"（uguisubari）构思精巧——地板经过特殊设计，任何人踩上去都会发出悦耳的吱呀声，一旦有入侵者或刺客潜入，守卫便能即刻察觉。殿内超过3,000幅由狩野派绘师创作的金碧辉煌壁画，装饰在一扇扇镶金的拉门之上，美不胜收。城郭四周约27.5万平方米的庭园，随着四季更迭呈现出截然不同的迷人景致。1867年，末代德川将军正是在此正式将政权归还天皇，宣告了长达265年武家统治的终结。
