富良野（Furano）是日本薰衣草的代名词。每年7月，薰衣草迎来盛花期，十胜丘陵间涌来数十万慕名而至的游客。其中最负盛名的是拥有逾60年历史的富田农场（Farm Tomita）——自1958年起便开始种植薰衣草，五彩缤纷的花田如织锦般铺展开来，配上香浓的薰衣草软冰淇淋和精致的干花伴手礼，令人流连忘返。整个富良野・美瑛（Furano-Biei）地区节日气氛浓厚，路边摊、摄影游览和穿越花海的骑行路线应有尽有。游客还可以乘坐季节限定的"薰衣草特快"（Lavender Express）列车，从札幌直达花田，畅享一路紫色风光。
