江差是北海道西南海岸一座保存完好的江户、明治时期商人小镇，每年春季在八坂神社及历史悠久的院内地区举办一年一度的江差樱花祭（江差さくらまつり）。盛开的樱花映衬着古朴的木造商家与酒造老铺，营造出一种绝无仅有的赏花（花见）氛围，鲜少有海外游客得以亲历。节庆活动丰富多彩，既有被列为国家级非物质文化遗产的"江差追分"民谣演唱，也有当地海鲜摊位与居民共聚的社区活动。附近停泊的"开阳丸"复原帆船更为这趟春日之旅增添了浓厚的历史韵味。
