At 1,955 metres, Mount Tsurugi is the second-highest peak in Shikoku and one of the earliest sites to display autumn colour each year. The Tsurugi-san Ropeway lifts visitors from Minokoshi Station to a plateau at around 1,750 metres, where dwarf bamboo, beech, and rowan trees shift through amber, orange, and deep red in mid-October. A short ridge trail leads to the summit shrine, offering sweeping views across the Iya Valley and the Seto Inland Sea on clear days. The ropeway typically operates extended hours during peak foliage weekends.
