Tokyo Dome City's annual Smile Illumination wraps the entertainment complex's LaQua spa zone, roller coaster, and outdoor promenade in approximately 500,000 warm-white and gold LED lights from November through February. The display is centred around the iconic Thunder Dolphin roller coaster track and the gardens adjacent to the LaQua thermal spa, where guests can admire the lights before or after soaking in the natural hot spring baths. The central location near Suidobashi Station and free entry to the illumination area make it one of central Tokyo's most accessible winter light events. Weekend evenings feature live music performances near the main plaza.
