This seasonal cooking class, offered by a family-run restaurant in Nago during the cherry blossom period, teaches participants to make Okinawa soba from scratch, hand-pulling noodles and preparing the rich pork-and-bonito broth from traditional recipes. A cherry blossom–themed element is incorporated into each session, with chefs demonstrating how to infuse sakura salt and incorporate seasonal local produce into Ryukyuan dishes. Classes are conducted in a comfortable home kitchen setting with a maximum of eight participants and include English-language recipe cards to take home. The meal is enjoyed together over hanami conversation at a table overlooking the instructor's garden.
