Omiya Park is consistently rated among the top 100 cherry blossom spots in Japan, with more than 1,000 trees of around 40 varieties spread across its spacious grounds adjacent to the ancient Musashi Ichinomiya Hikawa Shrine. The Sakura Matsuri runs throughout the bloom period with food stalls, local performers, and nighttime illuminations. The park also contains Omiya Zoo, Japan's oldest municipal zoo, adding extra appeal for families.
