The Bise Fukugi Tree Avenue in Motobu Town on the Motobu Peninsula is lined with hundreds of ancient fukugi trees whose dense canopies turn a warm amber-gold in late autumn. The narrow lane, traditionally planted as a windbreak, creates an immersive tunnel effect particularly magical in morning and late-afternoon light. Ox-cart rides are available for a slower, more traditional viewing pace. The quiet village setting beside the sea makes this one of Okinawa's most photogenic autumn scenes.
