Experience Cherry Blossom Winter · Late January to Early February

Nakijin Castle Sakura Tea Ceremony Experience

Nakijin · Okinawa · Okinawa

During the annual cherry blossom season, local cultural organisations host intimate open-air tea ceremony sessions on the grounds of Nakijin Castle Ruins, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for some of Okinawa's finest kanhizakura displays. Participants kneel on traditional mats positioned to frame the castle walls and blooming cherry trees, enjoying matcha and Ryukyuan wagashi sweets prepared by a certified tea master. Sessions are limited to small groups of four to eight guests to preserve the tranquil atmosphere. English guidance is available, and the experience runs on selected dates throughout the blossom period.
