Held each October in conjunction with the Naha Giant Tug-of-War (Naha Ōzunahiki), this fireworks display lights up the skies above Naha Port and Kokusai-dori. Thousands of shells are launched over the waterfront, reflecting off the harbour and drawing crowds of over 100,000 visitors. The display is choreographed to music and marks the climax of Naha's biggest annual celebration. It is one of the most accessible large-scale hanabi events in all of Okinawa.
