Miyajidake Shrine in Fukutsu City is celebrated for the 'light path' (hikari no michi), a phenomenon twice yearly when the setting sun aligns perfectly with the shrine's main approach road stretching to the sea. The October Grand Festival (Aki Taisai) features yabusame horseback archery on the shrine grounds, sacred mikoshi processions, and traditional performing arts. The shrine itself enshrines Empress Jingū and is counted among Kyushu's most spiritually significant sites.
