Shiroyama Park surrounds Matsuyama Castle atop Mount Katsuyama and is celebrated as one of Ehime's premier cherry blossom destinations. Over 200 cherry trees bloom across the park, and visitors can ride the ropeway or chairlift up for sweeping views of the city and the Seto Inland Sea dotted with blossoms. The combination of the intact Edo castle keep, the ropeway experience, and the floral spectacle makes this a highlight of any Shikoku spring itinerary.
