Kishiwada, world-famous for its autumn Danjiri cart festival, also stages an impressive summer harbour fireworks show at Kishiwada Port each July. The marine setting means viewing areas are available on both the port quays and on chartered boat cruises in the bay, giving spectators a 360-degree relationship with the bursts overhead. Roughly 5,000 fireworks are launched including large-scale peonies and waterfall cascades that shimmer over the Osaka Bay waters. The event is part of the broader Kishiwada Port Festival, which includes taiko drumming and local seafood markets.
