Kenroku-en, consistently ranked among Japan's three finest landscape gardens, opens its gates free of charge during the cherry blossom season as a gift to visitors. More than 200 cherry trees of around 40 varieties bloom across the garden's rolling hills, stone lanterns, and tranquil ponds, offering endlessly picturesque compositions. Evening illumination events allow visitors to experience the blossoms reflected in the Kasumigaike Pond after dark, with the adjacent Kanazawa Castle Park adding further flowering trees to the experience.
