While northern Okinawa dominates cherry blossom headlines, pockets of kanhizakura trees bloom along the rural backroads of southern Okinawa's Itoman and Yaese areas in February, offering a quieter, more local hanami experience. This guided e-bike cycling tour departs from Itoman city and winds through farming villages where cherry trees line agricultural roads alongside sugarcane fields and traditional Okinawan red-tile-roofed houses. Stops include a local farmhouse café for Okinawan tea and seasonal sweets, as well as a visit to a small community park known locally for its dense cherry canopy. Groups are kept to a maximum of ten riders.
