Ningle Terrace is a cluster of fifteen small log cabins nestled on a forest boardwalk within the grounds of Furano Prince Hotel, each housing an artisan selling handmade Hokkaido crafts — glasswork, woodcarving, leatherwork, and candles. In winter the entire terrace is lit with warm white lights strung through the snow-laden larches, creating a storybook forest atmosphere after dark. The concept was created by celebrated Japanese playwright Soh Kuramoto, who set many of his works in Furano. It operates year-round but is most magical during the deep-snow winter months when the forest is silent and white.
